The 9th Dunfermline Brownie Pack
The 9th Dunfermline Brownie Pack meets on Mondays during school terms in Gillespie Church Hall from 6 pm until 7.30 pm. The girls are aged between 7 and 10 years old and undertake a wide range of activities including badge work, games, baking and craft. We love to get out and about and have recently visited the police station, been out for dinner, organised a treasure hunt in the High Street and had great fun grass sledging and completing the assault course at Fordell Firs!
New adult volunteers are always welcome on either a more permanent or a rota basis. If you have a particular interest, skill or hobby that you would like to share with the girls, we would love to hear from you!
The Brownie Pack is very popular and a waiting list system is currently in operation.

Rainbows
Rainbows are the youngest members of Girlguiding. They can join from the age of 5 years and stay until they are 7. We meet to have fun. We play lots of games, do various craft activities and go outside whenever possible. 9th Dunfermline Rainbows meet on a Thursday from 6.15pm to 7.15pm and 9th A Dunfermline Rainbows meet on a Monday from 6 pm to 7 pm. Both units meet in Gillespie Centre.
Both units are full at present and we have several girls on the waiting list. We could accommodate 5 more girls on a Thursday if we had another adult able to attend each week.

The 9th Dunfermline Guide Unit
The 9th Dunfermline Guide Unit meets on a Monday night during the school term in Gillespie Centre between 7 and 8.30pm. The girls are aged between 10 and 14 years old and work together in patrols, which are led by the girls themselves. They have the opportunity to learn lots of new skills, participate in community based activities, make new friends and above all have fun. We also go camping once a year and have visited Netherurd House in the Borders for a weekend in June. We currently have 30 Guides and two young leaders.
Additional adult help is always welcome – working with the unit, providing transport, helping with paperwork – guiding has a lot to offer and by giving up a small amount of your time you can help girls and young women reach their full potential. If you are interested in helping out please contact Jean Wilson on 727600.
