The members of Gillespie recently participated in a one-day seminar, coming together to consider what the culture of our community would look like if we returned to a Church-led society. We considered a number of points:

What are the key challenges facing society today, e.g. the breakdown of the traditional family unit, increased pressure in the workplace and in society in general?

What does ‘church’ mean to people who have never experienced ‘church’, and what should it mean in today’s world?

What could our response be in terms of being a 1st Century Church in the 21st Century?
|
|
|
What does a church on mission look like, and what does a church on mission in the centre of Dunfermline look like?

The purpose of the day was to inspire new thinking rather than to attempt to produce solutions.
